PARTNERSHIP

Since 2004, the CI has continued to work with different partners, and strongly believes that partnership promotes information sharing partnership building and development of expertise at national, sub-regional, regional and international levels for effective human rights advocacy and campaign.

CI works in partnership with both national and international human rights and development organizations that have interest in the work we do. We recognize the importance of effective Non Governmental Organizations at local and international level and we operate in close cooperation with and through them to reach identified objectives. This enables our programs and activities to become effective, self-reliant and knowledgeable as partners in human rights and development.

Through its partnership approach, CI now distributes information about Human Rights violations to concerned groups and individuals around the world, along with recommended actions for publicizing and protesting them. CI’s projects and programs are committed to voicing a national and international call for justice and peace for vulnerable men, women and children.

CI also believes that wider development goals are based on durable capacity of local NGOs in developing countries like The Gambia to make change and implement projects. Our focus is to encourage donors and partners to be supportive and actively involved in our related activities.

Partnership with national and international organizations is the key approach to our Human Rights and development work. Moreover, we submit specific project proposals to meet and ensure clarity and transparency over roles and responsibilities in project implementation. In all partnership, CI seeks to show sound and sustainable practice in the following:

  • Good governance
  • Needs assessment
  • Strategic planning
  • Project design and management
  • Functioning financial systems
  • Human resources management
